First Aid at Work Certificate for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid)
Regulations 1981, valid of three years

Causes of Unconsciousness

Individuals who are to be regarded as Appointed Persons within the workplace or anyone working in small staff teams who may need to give First Aid to anyone who becomes injured or ill |
| Assessment Method: |
Certificate of Attendance only awarded, valid for three years |

Treatment of the unconscious casualty, including resuscitation
Choking
Bleeding
Other injuries and illnesses, relevant to the specific working environment
As part of the course programme, students are given some opportunity to deal with realistic First Aid scenarios |
